In her Master Class, Artistic Director and Choreographer, Lily Cai teaches the Lily Cai Dance Technique, developed for her professional dance company. The technique is designed to enhance a dancer’s performance in ballet, contemporary ballet, and/or modern and contemporary dance. She combines the Chinese concept of Qi (energy flow), the Chinese philosophy of Yin-Yang, and bodywork to improve dancer strength, power, and stamina, so that dancers can perform at a higher level without injury. With her training technique, Lily Cai helps dancers achieve deeper body sensitivity and focus, enabling them to create memorable dance and become world-class artists. Recommended for intermediate to advanced ballet or contemporary dancers.
