Betzi Roe (US) and Manuel Alcántara (MX), will share aspects of 25 years as colleagues and friends in an eclectic dance piece that includes props, poetry and film. They danced together during the 80's and 90's until he relocated to Canada and Mexico. Two years ago they rekindled their friendship on Facebook and began a series of collaborations between San Diego and Tijuana. Friendships often take twists and turns and evolve in unexpected directions. For the inaugural year of the Bi-National SD/TJ Fringe Festival they have created a piece that makes visible their journey through memories, inquiry, discovery, and acceptance of where they are now as artists and people.
