- 930am to 10am Conditioning
- 10am to 1130am “Horton” inspired Contemporary/Modern - alternating with Ballet every other day
- Noon till 1:45pm PGK Repertory featuring works by various choreographers
- 2 - 3:30pm Composition alternating with one career development workshop with guest speakers each week
When: June 15 - 26th Monday to Friday with “Welcome to Summer” Performance Friday June 26th 7:30pm outdoors at Spanish Village in Balboa Park ticket sales of $20 to $10 to the public.
The Performance is repertory you learn, work created during the intensive with guest performances by both The PGK Dance Project and The PGK Dance Project TOO, our 2nd company.
Peter G. Kalivas, Founding Director The PGK Dance Project trained at The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater school, The Joffrey Ballet and Pennsylvania Schools and The University of the Arts Philadelphia.
Career: danced with Ailey II, Donald Byrd/Projects, The Jamison Project, original member of Sean Curran Company, soloist The Bavarian State Opera Ballet and The Iwanson Dance Company/Germany among others. Choreographic works presented at The Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, The Ailey Theater/NYC, REDCAT/LA, across the US and abroad, taught at major schools and festivals 20 years. The summer intensive is generally how "PGK Dance" fills open paid positions with our main performance, touring company as well as apprenticeship positions who perform with our 2nd company throughout the year.
