San Diego Dances at Bread & Salt in Logan Heights

The PGK Dance Project performs new works by Peter Kalivas and Blythe Barton and audience favorites by Rosalia Lerner and Kim T. Davis including "Stay With Me" with live music.

“The Sound of Dance”, is a collaboration conceived and directed by Mr. Kalivas featuring Kristina Cobarubbia (Spanish Flamenco) and Divya Devaguptapu (classical Indian) and John Paul Lawson (American Tap Dance)

Guest companies include: somebodies dance theater directed by Gina and Kyle Sorensen and independent choreographers Anjanette Maraya-Ramey and Viviana Alcazar Haynes with their respective dancers. 

Doors open one hour in advance of performances for people to tour the former Bread Factory and all chambers, now re-purposed into working art spaces, and radio station, enjoy drinks and snacks provided by nearby Logan Heights vendors.

Friday and Saturday evening, March 6th and 7th at 730pm and Sunday matinee March 8th at 2pm. In honor of Women’s History Month, related artwork and a film installation also occur including the world renown dance film featuring original Graham dancer, “Frances Wessels: A Portrait of 89 Years” created by Jason Akira Somma, who has created films for some of the worlds most respected artists.
